It’s Sunday!
The options are either lazying around the house or going out and about in some malls.
Today, Edo chose Mangga Dua. He has some software he needs to buy.
And, look what I found for Ollie! (Dance)
A set of 3, Ollie’s most favorite characters on Sesame Street at IDR 50,000.
She’s so happy with it.
Weekend Tell Tale
May 8th
Ouuch! I have missed a few days to blog! Now I have to roll out my sleeve and get to it, starting today.
I was invited by Phillip & Erly to attend their son’s 1st birthday.
It was held at Puri Saco, Ragunan.
I knew from the moment I received the invitation, Ollie and I will have to go with Chintya instead of Edo.
The reason? Yes, it is far from Pondok Bambu.
Regardless the location; I was determined to go. I know it would be fun for Ollie. It would be something new for her. I know the fact that for toddlers and even kids, attending birthday parties are an occasion not to be missed.
We arrived pretty late to the party, it was around 3 p.m. She just can’t wait to run inside…
When we came, it was just in time with “tiup lilin” and “Piñata break”. The piñata was in form of Mickey Mouse (too bad I didn’t capture it). Inside the piñata was loads of candies and snacks. Kids are eagerly gathered around the piñata like a flock of little herds. Hahaha.
Looking over enthusiastic bunch of herds, Ollie clings and holds me very tight during the whole piñata break moments. She might be puzzled by the sights, and I too, not intended to have an “all you can grab” Sweet treats.
After the “tiup lilin ceremony” and the “Piñata break”, kids are told to line up for the goody bag. Uh Oh! This part is my favorite!! 
The girls of course get the pink ones, and the boys get the blue one.
Following it, food has been served at the buffet table, and kids running to their favorite Odong2 and Ollie pick the Motor Bike instead the stuffed animal. This is her 1st Odong2 ride loh :p

At 5 pm, the kids are at the swimming pool, and its time for the adults to party.
Disclaimer: Objects on a Mobile Camera may appear greater than they are in reality. I just had a half glass of Baileys, but I did make Ollie sort of tipsy the next morning. (and Yes, Ollie still breastfeeding. Your questions answered).
Ollieducating

Why I call it Ollieducating?
’cause educating my 20 months old toddler needs different approaches.
She’s that type of kids who’s in Sundanese culture, calls “ngeleyeut”, sort of stubborn, in a witty way.
Since my brain has been brain-washed by parents who said Glenn Doman this, Glenn Doman that, I thought hey, let’s go mainstream and give it a shot. So, there I was, creating homemade books of alphabet for a 6 months old baby, downloaded from Doman’s website. Needless to say, in 3 days, all my creations gone to waste like elephants runs amuck in a stampede over it. She’d rather chew on it, than to watch me reading it to her. *sigh*
On her 1st birthday, Ollie received real flash cards from her uncle. We managed to play it, and in 3 months, tragedy of our homemade flashcards repeats its history.
At 18 months, I started to collect and downloads flash cars on my iPod Touch, thinking she wouldn’t want to chew on my iTouch. And again, I was wrong. She’d rather watch Elmo on it than to recite those flash cards with me.
Tonight, I’m seeing the most effective way to support her eagerness to speak. Sitting on her daddy’s lap, in front of computer, dad’s gone googling. Images. He typed “Cat”, and dozens of cats in hundreds of pictures displayed on 26” screen. Ollie seems happy and excited and reciting what Dad’s say in her own word.
I was awestruck and laughed at the brilliant idea.
Now, we can say bye to flash cards and just threw it all down the drain.

I think, it’s time. To wean….
I know there will be judgement…
But hey, 20 months of breastfeeding for a Working Mom is something. So don’t you dare judging me
Before I start the wean, I just need a couple of advises and comfort talks..

heart broken

Just to see my little one suffering from dysentery breaks my heart into pieces…
Its been 2 weeks, and she is still not in normal condition.. Though she has been cheerful as always, but her tummy decided that its not the time to play yet…
Please God, I know lately I haven’t been religiously close to you, but I beg you to let me be the one who gets sick, not my little sunshine … Please…
